Tonight at Park City Live, longtime local favorite Mat Yadegari (YADA) is set to open for Los Angeles–based trap artist RL Grime on Friday December 18. Always passionate and energetic, he plans on warming up the crowd with a deeper set than the usual trap sets he’s done in the past. In this new era of genre-breaking, he’s sure to deliver an entertaining performance and show the crowd just what our local artists have to offer.
A Utah native, YADA grew up in Bountiful before attending the University of Utah, where he regularly DJ’d at various parties to network himself to his peers. YADA has experimented with just about every genre of dance music, never limiting himself to one type of sound in terms of where he wants to go and prides himself on always being open to new ideas for which direction to take new music in. Though, he became known locally for his signature trap and electro sound—maybe we can consider this a new era for his music.
However, this isn’t his first rodeo. YADA has been DJ’ing at larger venues for years, with past gigs including opening for artists like Adventure Club and, after winning a contest in 2014, he played at Safe In Sound at the complex alongside artists like Flux Pavilion and Destroid.
These days, YADA considers music his creative outlet and puts everything he has into his new tracks. Tonight, the local artist begins what is sure to be a busy winter with his opening set at RL Grime in Park City. For more information, check out his Soundcloud and Facebook.
